If you find yourself in Estonia, in Pärnu or the surrounding area, and want to spend time in nature, visit Alpakafarm. This small but very atmospheric farm is the perfect place to spend time with your family in the fresh air.

The farm is home to over 200 animals. The star attraction is, of course, the alpacas – they’re incredibly friendly, curious, and always eager to get close to people. Especially if you have food! Incidentally, you can only feed the animals special food sold on site – bringing your own is strictly prohibited.

Some information about alpacas
The alpaca is one of the oldest domesticated herd animals in the world. Alpacas live for approximately 20-25 years. They typically weigh between 50 and 80 kg (110 and 170 lbs). Alpacas reach a shoulder height of up to 100 cm (39 in).

Alpacas are bred primarily for their soft, hypoallergenic wool, which is almost seven times warmer than sheep’s wool. Alpacas are sheared once a year. On average, each animal yields about 5 kg of wool.

Alpacas are very social animals with a strong herd instinct. This is why they always stay close to each other. On the Alpakafarm website, you can meet the alpacas living on the farm, learn their names, and find out how old they are.

Who else lives on the Alpakafarm farm
Besides alpacas, the farm also has llamas, goats, sheep, rams, rabbits, and even a turtle, so you definitely won’t be bored!

All information about the animals is available on information boards in three languages: Estonian, Russian, and English.

On site there is a café and a small souvenir shop selling interesting items made from alpaca wool.
